The spool features four Japanese characters that read "Buddha Heart" and "Hand of the Devil". This is a spool that I have always had a weird obsession with. A spool, right? WTF?! What's the obsession about?
Here's the deal. This is the R Tuned spool. Just like the spool I have in my current TDZ103H. (Which has a TDZ Type R spool in it) What's the difference? It's got the Japanese writing etched in it. A perfectly good usable spool, that performs amazingly. But, I wont be using it.
This spool I managed to find from someone who took it out of a brand new in box TD Ito. This spool is a highly sought after spool by many "tuners" and "collectors". Too pretty of a piece of "tuner" artwork to be covered up with line. So, here it is gonna reside in my display case.

I'm with you on all accounts. That spool would be too cool to use and the reel I would use till it all faded out. Oh and only when I was by myself.

One of the best and first custom spools. Some people eat to live, others live to eat. This is for the second. An exquisite piece of fishing performance gear..
