Hey guys just a personal testimony of my first experience with using Mike Cork’s service. Outstanding job. I sent him two reels and basically a blank check told him to do whatever he saw fit to get these reels in tip top shape . First I would like to attest to the honesty he showed , as many would take that opportunity to provide a bunch of unnecessary services to sky rocket the bill he recommended just a basic for the one and a super tune for the other. Both reels came back quickly and are in what I perceive to be better condition then when I bought them new. Everything is tight and the reels are buttery smooth . 5 star service will be using again . Hope this review may cause others to utilize his services and be as satisfied as I am .

I plan to drop a few off to him soon, myself.
Any day fishing, is a good day.

He did one for me and I had no complaints. ;D

Thank You bro_drey
I've never been one to do work you didn't need. If a super tune isn't going to change the way the reel feels in your hand, I don't want to do it and have you then "meh, that wasn't really worth it". If I don't think you're going to get the wow this is nice factor I don't want to do it as it costs you and down plays a super tune can do...
Anyway all that just to say thank you.

Mikes the man. Actually, may be the only man on this site, as I am considering pulling the plug on reel servicing. I just dont have the time anymore.

Those arent an issue. Replacing parts is easy, just dont have the time to do the break down, clean, and reassemble. I actually enjoy it, but its weighing in on time I need be it with my son or other things. Hell, I dont even wanna do mine anymore. lo

I used both Mike and Matt and they both did great work. Matt upgraded my SLX and Mike did a couple of my Diawa's that I ended up selling before I got to use them...

Matt shutting down servicing reels will be a lose, he's very good, but the good news is we have Mike who is very good also. He needs the work, he's got 2 teenage mouths to feed and that's tough to do.

Mike is the man for cleaning reels. He taught me years ago how to do a basic cleaning, and I was able to expand on his teachings and now have my own little cleaning gig in NW Arkansas. He's quick to help me out with any questions I have when a reel I've never tore down before comes across my workbench.

Both Mike and Matt have helped folks with cleaning and repairing on the site and when he was here Kevin Rush did also, besides being excellent at what they do they enjoy sharing the knowledge. ~c~ ~c~ ~c~
