Todd Driscoll:
Borrowing either another head unit or another GPS antenna would go a long way troubleshooting your issue.  But, it could also be a faulty NMEA network cable or tee, or lack of 12V power to NMEA network (the cables your antenna plug into require an independent power source - without power the antenna won't function).

Is the unit giving you the message "GPS Module Not Responding", or is it just never locking on enough satellites to provide a position fix?

tideman, if your direct questions to lowrance were as cryptic as the opening post in this thread, I'm not sure anyone could help...

TODD,IT'S NOT LOCKING ON..IT  JUST STARTED THIS..BEFORE, YOU WOULD TURN
ON THE UNITAND IT WOULD SAY POSITION AQUIRED...ALSO I AM NEW TO THIS BOARD
