Lure to use in Pond
« on: June 30, 2012, 03:01:40 PM »

Hey guys im fairly new to bass fishing, and all I do is pond fish, not many lakes close by, and I have been able catch bass every so often on different lures and rigs, but I was wondering what is the best lure to use in a pond, in Summer, here in TX?

I second the frog. Also try a Zoom Fluke pearl for shad, watermelon red for bream.

I have done quite a bit of pond fishing here in Texas and for me a little 1/16 oz. Roadrunner or a wacky rigged Senco will catch them when nothing else will.

I've got a pond I fish and I've caught most of my fish on senkos, wacky and texas. And also a black and blue jig has been really good. The bass in the pong I fish are holding within 0-8 of the wall. I have caught bass throwing my bait right up against the wall. So try shallow with plastics, maybe some jigs, and slow cranks.
