Anybody fishing this years MN Bass Federation Nation state tournament in Duluth?

9/5 - Fish Lake, Alternate Tournament
9/6-7 - Island Resevoir Tournament of Champions.

I'll be heading up next week to do some prefishing, I've got to make my way through the alternate tourney if I want to fish the Tournament of Champions. From what I've heard Fish Lake could be a slop deal, and Island Resevoir is going to be a Smallmouth deal.

Spent most of my time prefishing for the Alternate tournament myself. Day 1 of practice every spot I hit was loaded with pike. Found one area that I caught two bass on back to back casts biggest being about 16 inches. I made sure I marked the spot and didn't return. Day 2 of practice was a little more productive, I found a few 3-4lbers near the launch area and decided to check the "pike" spot only to find another 3lber.

Tournament day began with around a 10*F drop in the weather along with clouds/scattered rain/and lots of wind. I ended up catching a nice fish within 12 minutes but it wasn't until 4 hours later that I started finding more. Most of my fish came of the "pike" spot. The fish had moved away from the thicker hard stems and were relating to the scattered stuff about 10-15 yards back. I ended up with 15.68LBS good enough for second place. It afforded me the opportunity to fish the State tournament which was my goal. However things didn't go to well and I bombed during the big show.
