New guy from Central Iowa
« on: March 12, 2013, 03:09:47 PM »

Anyone here do any fishing in Rathbun?  I live near Saylorville and Big Creek and go there once in a while but like to take extended trips down to Rathbun.

I also live about 10 minutes from big creek. Rathbun is a lake I have not fished much. I usually hit 3 mile or west.

I heard on the radio the other day that Saylorville finally got up to it's normal water level.  Hopefully that means the fishing will be a little better around here this year and the bass can get a good spawn this spring.

Not sure if you guys are into fishing tournaments or not but.......

The Fishers of Men National Tournament Trail has an Iowa division. the lakes being fished on the trail this year are: Three Mile, Brushy Creek, Spirit Lake (near Okoboji), Twelve mile lake, and Rathbun. for more details visit http://www.fomntt.com/team/division.php?id=18
