2017 Equipment (Toys you are buying).
« on: January 01, 2017, 12:17:18 PM »

It's a new year, so it means new dreams, new plans, new wish list.
What are you guys getting?
I might get the new Fuego CT or another Curado.
And I am still looking for my first boat.

I still have one more new toy heading my way soon,  ~shade,  but after that, I do not foresee any more toys in 2017. 2016 was pretty dang expensive...  lo

Technically I bought them in 2016, but they will arrive in 2017.

Another LSCR and a Shimano Scorpion 70.

I'm always on the look for a premo Shimano Core 100MgFV and a Chronarch 100D7. I hope to add one more and have an LSCR built for it.

Honestly, that may be it for me for several years.

Ditto! LSCR and a Daiwa SV103

Last year I bought plenty and besides tackle here or there don't plan on buying anything else anytime soon.

Perhaps a glass rod for 1/2 oz chatterbaits and spinnerbaits.  Which will require another reel.  So that means I will probably lose another battle with the reel monkey....

LSCR which is in the works

Maybe another metanium JDM?

Definitely need to purchase some large spools of Sunline in 10, 14, and 17.  What I would like to find though, is one of those spoolers like they have at good tackle shops.

New trolling motor. I'm just holding out waiting on the bast deal I can find.
That and my taxidermist is getting a big chunk from my fun money this year.

I'm trying to save pennies, now that Christmas is over, to buy me one of them fancy fish callers....

I think a Hydrowave is about the only thing I want so far, but I'm sure the industry will find things to temp me with.

Not planning on any major purchases in the fishing arena. Would like to have the boat re carpeted in the spring and if I have to spend anything else it will be most likely in the maintenance category.  Got old Car, old truck, old house that just might need a few things here an there.

I've got a Zillion TWS and a No. 8 Tackle Company BlackOut on the way currently. Also in the market for a new spinning set up. Literally the day before I bought my bait casting set up, I told myself that I don't need another baitcasting combo and I should get myself a nice new spinning combo... then I saw the sales.  ~shhh

In 2017 I think A few more reels will be replaced.

There is a major possibility that when the CT SV TWS QMO LPR D comes out I am going to get that...The Scorpion DC will probably be replaced.

Also I would like to find me a spare spoor for my current CT to replace the Fuego L.

Rods are going to be my main focus though. I need to replace a Berkley Lightning, Fenwick Aetos and add one more to relegate the Savvy 734c to bank fishing duties.

3 new curado's with ceramic hybrid bearings. New custom spiral wrapped rods I make myself. And I am overhauling some old retired curado's for 2017 also with ceramic hybrid bearings. Got a new frogging rod ready to roll and a new spiral wrapped dedicated A-rig rod ready to go. Oh, and gonna try out a rebuilt Daiwa twitchin' bar reel on the froggin' rod just to try it out.

Can't wait to get 'em out on the water!

I am planning on buying carpet to redo the seat area and the rest of the Ranger in the Spring.  Two new Group 31 batteries and maybe a new trolling motor.
For the aluminum boat I am planning a Hydrowave Mini and replacing a couple of batteries.
Planning on adding an ABU Orra 2 Winch and two Dobyns Rods, 734C and a 705CB.  Possibly a new Dobyns spinning outfit also.  These would all be Fury line btw.  Doc Irv will probably get another order for Irvco Stickbaits, yes senkos, later in the Season.  I bought some at end of 2016 and want to try them out before ordering more like either one of those.
I doubt I can afford much more than the above.

I am getting this 2016 Key West 176CC, new, zero hours. It would be a good little boat for Biscayne Bay and Flamingo.
