So they have zr bearings for the SV? Would it even be worth it? I suspect you would lose some of the control and braking ability that the SV is designed for right?

Not with the ZRs. It will not mess with the control factor, and thats one thing I really like about them. You would notice a bit of difference on "startup" abilities of spool. I dont think you will really see a difference in distance though.

So not really much of a benefit except for lighter lures. With a faster "startup" I suspect lighter lures would travel with more ease.
