What's everyone using for a jig rod fishing coon tail and weeds edges in 10-15' of water.  Thinking jigs 3/8-3/4oz. Also what line?  Im leaning towards ruining straight braid

My LSCR Point Blank. It's a 7'3 mh-f. That rod is so light and sensitive it's almost like cheating. I think 7'3 is the perfect length for jig fishing. Straight Power Pro is what I use, but thinking of going to the hi-vis yellow.

I don't throw jigs in coontail too much, TX rigs for me. But I throw them on a 7'5" MH F Megabass Orochi XX EMTF. I use straight 50 lb. Power Pro braid.

7' mh Carbonlites, going to straight braid, POWER PRO.

Old Fishermen never die, their rods just go limp.

Dobyns dc 744c paired with a high speed reel.
Light sensitive and extra fast action sets the hook into hard mouths.

That deep and that heavy of a jig (3/4) I'd use a Dobyns extreme 745 or the champion 744. Both have great back bone.

I'm a braid guy all the way, however if you have really clear water and highly pressured fish I'd try Fluoro if I wasn't getting the bites I'd expect.

Power Pro braid because its dependable and available here. I almost constantly throwing a 1/2 oz or heavier when I throw a jig. So I may be biased to a stouter rod than others.
I have been using a Powell 734C and a Ethos 7'3" Heavy. I just received my Savvy SSM734C yesterday and am breaking it in daily. It actually seems to have a tad more backbone to it than the two rods I was using. I really am liking it.
