I'm a sufix 832. Yeah it makes noise but man it makes a good winch.

Power Pro makes noise on my setups. Is Sufix much louder? Like I said its been a long time since I had used any.

Another Power Pro (original) user here. I have tried other braids but always come back to PP.
50-65 lbs for frogs and the heavy stuff. 15-20lbs for everything else.

Every braid I have used so far makes noise. I have used Suffix, only issue I had with it was it digging in to itself a lot more than power pro. But I don't remember what diameter I was using. I stopped using it because of it's price. It's almost double the cost of a PP spool.

I've learned that if I'm conscious of braid noise, then I'm not concentrating on my fishing enough... lol!! BUT... that violin song that braid plays is music to my ears when a big one is on... :)

I don't like the violin. Too screechy for me.

If the bass is big enough that rod and braid play a great tune... lol

The tighter the string gets the better it sounds. Could be a full blown electric guitar with the right fish.  8)
