2 new ones
« on: July 31, 2017, 05:57:58 AM »

The monkey got me last week. My wife and I took a road trip and stopped at BPS on the way, I wanted to pick up a set of Guide Ons for my trailer and I've been wanting  a 7' med action spinning rod, all mine are medheavy and I wanted one more 6'6" bait caster for using around docks and shoreline cover but was in no hurry to get them, at least not til I was attacked by the evil monkey, walked out with one each, combos with PRO QUALIFIER reels, the rods are the new PRO QUALIFIER rods, I believe the blank is the same as the original CARBONLITE rods which I really like. After we got back home, shortened trip because my wife didn't take her motion sickness pills so I had to get her home, I spooled them up with POWER PRO, 20 lb for the baitcaster and 15 for the spinning on one spool and 8 lb mono on the second spool! Back yard pitching and roll casting with the baitcaster, I like it, can't wait to hit the water!!
Old Fishermen never die, their rods just go limp.

That monkey lives at the BPS. You walk in the door and he's on ya... sale here, 30% percent off there, new and improved over there in the corner... it's a brutal all out attack!

Congrats on the new equipment  :-* keep us posted on how it performs after some water time :-*

Congrats on the new toys Rodney. You can't escape the monkey, he's everywhere.   ::)

He even gets me when I am places that have nothing to do with fishing. I see something and say to myself......hmmm, how could I use that while I'm fishing. Case in point: One time while in a bargain store I bought a retractable dog leash - we didn't own a dog. I wanted to try and use the mechanism as a lure retriever.
