Looks like they are trying to make spincast a viable option to a baitcaster. I suspect though there is more line twist involved in spincast then there is with a baitcast reel. I suppose it would be a real nice option for someone who hates baitcast and spinning reels.

Still holding out to getting a tatula next month.

The Zebcos for what they were, were great little reels. As time passed they were made cheaper and cheaper but they're fine for children and less experienced anglers. I don't think the spinning scalloped disk or disk with pin design will ever come close to performing as well as a good $40-$75 spinning reel and it lacks the winching power of a baitcaster.

I'm sure they'll sell a few though.
