Got there at 3:00 p.m.  We were the only boat on the lake.  I hooked a small bass almost immediately and it came loose at the boat.
That was the only bite we had before leaving at dark.
I no longer know how to catch fish.
We threw everything we had at 'em except we ate the peanut butter crackers.
Maybe should have tried them.  We tried duck blinds, shore lines, single trees, groups of trees, shady side, sunny side...from 5 ft to 1 ft.  The mosquitoes weren't even biting; that's how slow it was.
Water temp 90.  Slight breeze, even had a short rain shower.
Salvinia all way up on the North end only.
Water flowing over the spillway.
Still no other boats when we left at dark.  Now I know why!  :)

Thanks for the report. That lake has been hit or miss all summer. I've tried it a couple times and have a little better luck but definitely not worth bragging rights. Seems one day they eat and for the next three they don't. I we could hit that one day, it's got some good fish in it  :-*

Thanks for the report Don and it sounds like a real tuff day. Next time try the peanut butter crackers. ;D
