Anybody else feeling like the weather is killing the fishing?
« on: August 17, 2017, 04:09:11 PM »

I had the chance to fish Marshy Hope in Federalsburg, MD on Wednesday.  What a neat place.  Being the soft plastics addict I am there were many places with underwater wood that fired me right up.  We caught some bass but no numbers or size to do a fishing report on.  Partner caught a couple Pickeral swimming a worm.  Gonna have to try that place out again.

Thanks for the report and maybe it will get better when it cools off a little.

Mid Summer is always tough in the south. But this year there seems to be extra fronts and it is making it hard to stay on a pattern for sure.

Pattern?  You know the old saying, "one fish does not a pattern make"?  Last couple trips, if I caught fish, it was on a different bait or color.
We have had three to four days a week where we have fronts come through and the bass run for deeper cover or go into lockjaw.  The panfish are relentless on moving the worm around by the tail.  I can't wait for FALL.

There's been but three types of weather up here the last six weeks, raining, just rained or just about to rain. These weather cells have
moved through multiple times per day and the rain has been endless as well as the thunder and lightning.  It has made the bite quite challenging.

I agree FJ.  I know the Summer makes fishing harder but this has been ridiculous.  Hurry up Fall.
