X2-Cräftic™
« on: August 18, 2017, 06:05:13 PM »

I was just looking at some used reels and saw the Abu constantly refer to this "X2-Cräftic™" when speaking of the frame. Yet I can find no where that states what the "X2-Cräftic™" actually is.

Is it plastic or metal, anyone know  :-\

Its aluminum. Just a fancy word for it. Many companies do this to make it seem special. I think Shimano is using the word Hagane for theirs. As long as it dont say composite, you are good.

Thanks.

Exactly what you said. They all started dreaming up names for shit. I think it was more to trick the consumer into buying a plastic reel personally. They can put a $100 tag on a reel say its graphite or composite. A lot of folks wont pick up on and they take it since they are dropping around a $100 bill that its a metal frame. Otherwise why not say its plastic. Because the would never sell a reel that read plastic frame for $79.99 much less $100 unless someone just didn't read or know anything about reels.  ::)
