The SJHT Gang coming in after a Long Day  & Tough Day on the water:

Wrapping up the Day:

Summary: What a difference a different body of water makes here in NJ.  Today was a tough day just getting any types of bites.  Unlike Carnegie lake a week earlier, anglers found just getting a simple nibble hard to come by.   The quality of Bass was much less and the numbers caught was way down.  When a .14lb Crappie wins Miscellaneous and there are No Pickeral or Cat fish brought to the scales, then you know it was a tough day.

All in all 8 out of 12 anglers caught at least 1 Bass.  There were a total of 12 Bass caught giving way to a total of 17.30lbs.  This was tremendously less than a week ago where 21 more bass were caught and about 40lbs less in total overall weight.  This decrease in weights gave way to a 1.44lbs per bass avg..   There was only amazing 2 Limits caught..

Overall, STONE TAVERN LAKE proved that all fisheries in NJ have there own uniqueness.  Some for Trophy Lake size Bass, some for mere Quantiities being caught, some for the cookie cutter size, and this one known for being a toss up of all of the qualities described above.  LOL!!!

Judging from the Bass that were weighed in, they all had the uniqueness of being somewhat made of the same mold.  Slender and long.  Nothing gigantic even though we all know Stone Tavern use to hold some GIANTS!  Anglers battle till the very end as the numbers and weights don't lie.  It was a close finish especially with the Lunker Bass Weight.

Next up is MERRILL CREEK RESV..  Hope to see everyone next Saturday.

Note: The Change in Start and End times!!!!  6:30am-2:30pm

Yeah LipRipper.  It was mighty tough out there.  Albeit....it still beats a day in the office.  Lol

I caught sub par 12"inchers but no real pattern developed.

Next week should bring better bass and weights as we're heading for the mother load.  Lol.  Deep water over 100' deep in certain spots....
