So, I am getting ready to Re Power and just hit me that what should I do about the old motor that is coming off the boat.  It runs and the powerhead is only a couple years old probably less than 40 hours on it.  I have not asked the dealer about any trade in if they do that or not.  Otherwise I guess it would be mine to sell.  Man that seems like a pain in the butt.

You might offer to trade it for the rigging. Could save you a couple thousand.

If they won't do the rigging for the motor deal, try to sell it prior to the re-power date and accept that you won't get what you have in it. If the rigging is going to cost $1800, then sell it for $1800. It's a lot easier to sell one that still on the boat and can be demonstrated on the water. The buyer can pick it up at the dealer when they take it off your Ranger.
