Got my annual flu shot today.  Not a bad idea for most folks especially you fellow senior citizens.

I never got them either up until the hospital made us get one in order to be able to work. I haven't had one since I retired.

I have been getting my suggested shots at the VA when I go there. I just received a letter from the old VA Hospital telling me I can get my Flu Shot at Walgreens by just showing my VA Card. That certainly makes it convenient.

I get them every year. In 1968, my unit was one of the first to get flu shots. They used a live virus and our arms swelled twice their size and hurt like heck. I just got a tetanus shot combo with Diphtheria and Whooping cough. I told the nurse that those diseases were for kids and you seldom hear about them today. She said the diseases were coming back in a big way in the elderly.

I stopped getting them several years back because the two times before that I got sick within 24 hours of getting the shot.

My wife however gets both the flu shot and the pneumococcal pneumonia shot regularly and has never had a problem.

I'm 67 and never had the flu so I pass on the shots. my local VA hospital offers drive thru flu shots for those who don't want to leave their car.

What you don't want to be the next experiment that comes out Captsteve Jenner?  >:D

And before anyone laughs you might want to research what governments have done in the past. Not to mention the complete and utter lunatic stuff they are trying to push as normal these days. Just saying.  ~shhh
