Denali N2 Bass rod
« on: October 26, 2017, 05:03:19 PM »

Does anyone have any experience with these?  I was wondering how they compare to the Kovert Lite and Lithium series.  I have a Kovert Lite and have used my brothers Lithium on a few occasions.  They are pretty impressive rods.  I use the 7'4" Heavy Kovert Lite for frogging and I have been nothing but satisfied.

Just wondering if there are any significant advantages (weight, sensitivity, etc.).  $300 is a pretty sizeable price tag.

I have a 843 from back when they were called  the Noirwood and a newer n2 finesse jig rod.
I really like the way they fish. I fish the lithium and kovert also. I think the n2 is a lighter,  quicker blank, and a bit more sensitive .  At least in my hands.
I'm not sure it's 100 bucks better than a lithium but my old 843 is a workhorse,. Jigs, worms , spinnerbaits , buzzbaits ., whatever.
I get to fish a lot of rods and thats one thats never been for sale.

Thanks for the reply.  Sounds like it's a really good rod.

I'm lucky to know someone who can get them for half price.  So I am going to pull the trigger on one.  Gonna get a 7' MH Fast to replace my current worm rod.  Currently using a Lews TP1, which has been a great rod.  Just think it's time to repurpose that one and upgrade.

Just wanted to provide an update.  I finally got a chance to fish with the N2 over the past weekend. It is an impressive rod.  Light as a feather, strong, and very sensitive.  Feels great in my hands.  Very comfortable to fish with.  I知 happy with my purchase.  I知 also happy that I got it at half price.  As good as it is, $300 still seems like a hefty price.

Got it paired with a Lew痴 Tournament MB.  That may change though.

They are a outstanding rod. I have the 843 and the finesse jig rod in the N2 that is a great 5/16 ball head rod. also makes a great stickbait rod for vision 110's and McSticks, could probably throw 1/4oz. spinnerbaits on it as well.
I have Tatula type R's on mine , 12lb. Shooter on the 843 10lb sniper on the finesse jig rod.

I知 going to take it out for a couple more spins, but I知 pretty sure I want a couple more now.   lo

I think these rods would be great for any sort of finesse or bottom contact applications.  It performed flawlessly with a Tx rigged worm last weekend.  Plenty of backbone.  And I could feel every bump on the bottom and every blade of grass that my lure touched.  And every bite was very apparent.

I agree they make a great bottom contact rod. I like the carbon handle better on the Denali better than the Cashion, Although they both can get cold.
That 843 makes a nice spinnerbait rod as well.
The action of the Lithium 883 and 884 also suits me really well for football heads , wobble heads and swimbaits.
