Metanium MGL pawl.
« on: October 31, 2017, 09:34:22 AM »

So yall know Im very well informed of what I talk about. This has been discussed in the past, and verified through Shimano (supposedly) from another member here, who said it was ceramic and not plastic. So, to clarify, Bantam1, who is Shimanos rep, verified the truth on another well known enthusiest forum. Ill just leave this right here.

I didn't think this was still in dispute?

Shimano said quite some time ago that it was a high tensile polymer.

The conflicting information came from Shimano.

I wrote to Shimano and asked them directly as you well know. I reported their response copy and pasted.

The fault is not ours if Shimano can not put out one straight correct answer.

Who knows, I or you, or anyone of us can write Shimano again and ask the same question and get a different answer yet again.

I didn't think this was still in dispute?

Shimano said quite some time ago that it was a high tensile polymer.

The dispute was that there was truth (in my own studies of what the material really was), and now confirmed. The other member was posting that it was ceramic (which he said was better than metal, which its not), and it was a build quality improvement. (which its not). I wanted the truth to be out there on this forum as to not lead our members with yet more false information.

You are twisting things... saying things I did not. So yes, that is misleading.

LMG there are two issues here.

1)Difference of information coming from Shimano.

2)Personal attack agenda

In your OP you said this:

"verified through Shimano (supposedly) from another member here"

Your use of the word "supposedly" is insinuating that I am lying about the source of the information I was told.

I told the truth based on what the Shimano corporation emailed to me after requesting it of them.

You are trying to make this about me with your twisting spin here. It is not about me.

You are trying to demonize me while putting yourself up on a pedestal. It is clear what you are doing here is going beyond any attempt to correct misinformation from Shimano.

You say you are not trying to mislead but by insinuating I was lying and insinuating I was trying to mislead is agenda based misleading in and of itself and should not have been a part of what you are doing here. If anyone should be self reflecting you might want to consider it.  :-*

The point is, I knew what it was through having it in my hands and verifying it for myself. So, when you wanna try and prove a point, do it with personal experience, not copy and paste.  ;)

Alright you too, take it to email or PM's you each said you piece let it go.

Carry on with your opinions of the Plastic pawl in some of the newer shimano reels.
