Spent 3 1/2 days fishing Millers Ferry with my buddy John and although the catching was less than hoped for we had a great trip. Weather was almost ideal with 40's early and upper 60's in the afternoon and blue skies all day, just great Fall weather, water temps in the low to mid 60's and visibility of 1-3 feet. Caught 30 total keepers, biggest was a 3-4 Spot John caught on a KVD jerk bait hooked in the back. John used a Zoom speed worm for most of his fish while I had to go through the tackle box to put my few fish in the boat. While we expect to catch 20 or more each day and did not we still enjoyed being out, watching a nice 10 point buck jump up and trot off and 2 turkeys flying across the creek we were in makes it a special time on the water.
Retired and loving every minute of it!

That's not a bad trip brother!  Love that place in the fall, they may just need a little more cool water.
