How I Spent My Afternoon Part 2
« on: November 20, 2017, 05:58:50 PM »

The other day when I saw the forecast for today's temps was going to reach 54* and not  ~rain I looked in the freezer and pulled out about 6 lbs of Deer Stakes and put them in a Grill Masters Mesquite Marinade overnight. After running to the store to pick up some potatoes and green peepers. I came home and give my daughter KP duty and had her peal the potatoes and instructed her how to combine the potatoes and green peppers and onions and seasoning sale and mix them all together in olive oil and wrap them in foil. I went out side and fired up my Weber Silver Grill

then came back in to check on my daughter and to get the Deer Stakes  to take outside to start grilling them.

Got the grill warmed up and cleaned off the grates and took the stakes out of the bags and boy did they smell good, I put them on the grill and started grilling

I had a small sample taste piece and boy did it taste good. When the stakes were almost done my daughter brough tout the potatoes ready to go. I checked the stakes with my meat thermometer and when it reach the right temp I started taking it off and put on the potatoes

Just before the potatoes were done I noticed that fire was out. The tank had run out of propane  :'( no problem I was prepared and had a new take and just switched them out and finished cooking them. I took them in and everyone was already eating the Stake before they got the potatoes. They smelled the stakes and couldn't wait. lo lo So that's another round of good food that everyone wants more of. I guess I'm going to have to scrounge up some more deer stakes.  ;D

Let's do some trading. I've got a Weber Summit with a built in smoker box burner. I'm apple/cherry wood smoking some fresh trout caught at Bennett Springs in Missouri. Just fillets or my wife won't eat them. A buddy just dropped them off last night.

Wizard them trout sound good. It's been a long time since I've had some fresh trout. So the Mrs don't like the whole fish looking at her when shes eating them. I'm going to have to reach out to my friends who hunt and see if I can round up some more deer meat cause I only have them three packs left.
Steve the wind was blowing hard so them neighbors must not of smelt them cooking.  ;D
