Thinking of installing a BIRD next to Lowrance at console

Besides the high price of the set up, how do you like it?
What is the set-up at the front, as far as transducer set up?

I have a Garmin Echomap CHIRP at the console and replaced my older Lowrance on the bow last year with a Helix. I would have liked to have a second Garmin but didn't have the $$ at the time. Helix is pretty darn nice for the price.
