I threw a crankbait with the Royale quite a bit yesterday. I know one thing (and this may be true of all the modern reels), I've NEVER had my thumb get burnt by a screamin' fast spool on the cast. I mean, WOW.

update on how my kastking royale legends are holding up.  not one issue period.  still smooth as butter, cast a mile, and the drags on all of them are still smooth as silk.  all that i do is to give the bearing a shot of lube and the level wind.

i am pretty sure that i just might put quite a bit more mileage on a reel that most.  the one thing that i do notice is that you need to adjust your settings when changing weight of lures.  i use braid and it is very fussy to cast on bait casters especially when going down to very light pound test.  i throw crank baits on 20 lb. test braid and can throw them a mile.

bottom line, i like them and they do the job for me.

Good to hear!  Thanks for the update.  I really like the new design on most of the KastKing
