12 years ago today
On July 11 2006 I had prostate cancer surgery and I can happily say that on July 11 2018 I'm still cancer free.  Very lucky to have  minimal issues with side effects of the surgery and no sign of the return of cancer.

Ron, I have forgotten the dates but I went through my treatments about the same time as you did.  I still remember a follow up visit with the doctor and asking some questions about some thing that did not work like it used to.  He just looked at me as said  "well, "woops" isn't what it is all cracked up to be any way"

:) Did you tell him that he was wrong and it is what it's cracked up to be?  Mine works but not like it used to.  Doc told me it was more old age than the surgery.  I told him it was fine several weeks before the surgery. ~b~

Sounds like the words of a 40 year old virgin!

My step dad is going through it now. Doc said he's lucky to have found it when he did, he expects the treatment and recovery to be quick and relatively easy. The moment he realized there may be something wrong with his favorite bits, he went and had it checked out.
I think he starts treatment on the 18th.

He assures me it all still works. Considering who he's married to, I assure him I most definitely DON'T WANT TO KNOW.

That's great news Ron. ~c~ ~c~ I'm going on three years for my base of tongue cancer. I've been going back for a check up every three months but after my next one if everything looks OK he said we will make the check up every six months.  ~c~ ~c~
