Reel Maintenance
« on: August 12, 2018, 11:05:10 AM »

I'm fairly new around here and I would appreciate some information regarding reel maintenance.  I'd like to get some pricing on having a few of my favorite Shimano's serviced.  Contact me thru this post or my email which ever is most appropriate.

Thanks

Like Lip said Mike Cork and or LgMouthGambler Mike would probably get the nod since its Shimano's just wanting serviced. However if you are looking for modifying them LgMouthGambler would get the nod imho.

Here is a link to Mikes website Cork's Reel Service

Guys, I want to make my position clear here...

I have told Mike Cork this too so he is aware...

I do not solicit any business off this website. That is not my intent.

So everyone please be aware I will never solicit any business from this website. I only participate to generate discussion and provide information when I can.

I agree with the other members here that all reel repair business should be recommended to Mike Cork first and foremost, and let him make the decisions for his website and members.

Now, I will confess that I have offered to repair for free a couple of reels of elderly, and people suffering from medical issues. So if I can do something to help those people enjoy fishing and ease their worries about being able to afford a reel repair, I am happy to help people who really need it. And I hope my offering a free service is not breaking any rules as I certainly would not want to upset Mike Cork in any way over this issue.

The PM I sent to this new member contains what I said above along with my own personal recommendations about reel repair so the new member can make the best decision for himself as to what he wants to do, but in no way did I, nor do I ever solicit any business from this website so I just wanted to make this clear to all.

I am not approved nor authorized to solicit any business from this website or forum and I honor that.

I've had reels cleaned by both Mike and LMG and they both did a great job. I highly recommend either. You can't go wrong.
