Noticed boat had a oil leak at first of year. Ended up being a crack at a casting seam in block. Everything finally replaced now. Been down since march.
Start the break in process tomorrow. Woot!

Glad you were able to get it fixed and back on the water. Hope it was a warranty job.

Well we didn't Break anything. LoL Got a late start had to deal with the pleasure boaters playing. Dang that first hour at full trim seems to take three. Rough water out of the coves so throttle got worked hard.  Ran it thirty minutes gave it a 20 - 30 rest. (Us mainly) Then another 30 not going over 5500 rpm's. Back home for the heat cycle. Cain't wait to do some WOT runs next time. Mid range acceleration is just phenomenal.

Duraspank,  Glad to hear you have it going again.

We may have talked about this before,  but what is your setup.  I know that you have a 202,  but what is powering it?

I'd bet that boat will move.  And it looks good too.

How do you like the Blazer so far?

Your setback,  how do you have that worked out.  One 14" jack plate?

It does ok. Wish I knew what pitch prop it has. I really like how it accelerates. 25 to 50+ seems almost instant.

So far we're pleased with it. Me personally wished it rode like the Champion 202 we test drove before we found this one.  But that's like comparing a Corvette to a Cadillac. LoL

It has a 10 inch jackplate with a 4 inch spacer. 14" is supposed to be the best setup for this boat.

I will say it's way more boat than any sane parent. Would let their kid get for their first boat. LoL
We need to meet up sometime. Didn't you just go to a 4 stroke?

Well according to the Merc monitor we're done. Happened to notice that it counts down when idling WTH? Thought it only counted under load. Either way it only idled long enough for temps to cycle once. Ran it hard through last 20 min with just enough trim to keep nose from diving but still pushing. Last intentional heat cycle. Looks like it took a lil over 2 gallons of oil.
Next trip time to trim her up and see how she likes to fly. With our limited driving abilities that is. LoL 55 has been our top speed so far.

Not a 4 stroke.  I traded my Optimax 200 on an Optimax 225.  Since the swap,  I have not had an opportunity to take it out,  so I have no idea what all will have to be modified as far as setup is concerned.

14 inch set back is optimum for mine as well.  I have a ten inch manual jackplate on it now.  My plan is to leave it alone and put an Atlas 4 inch hydraulic jack plate between the ten inch manual and the transom.  That would give me 14 inches and adjustments on the fly.

I would like to meet up sometime.  If you fish Hartwell much,  I am putting on a tournament in two weeks (September 22) paying $1k to win.
