Happy Thanksgiving everyone, time to be thankful for how fortunate we are.

Laurie and I are always extremely thankful for each and everyone one of the members here on Ultimate Bass. You all ROCK in so many ways... If I ever have a fishing or boating question I can post it on UB and have several answers or ideas in just minutes.

A few years back Lee Smith came to me with an idea. He said that we had so many memember and we should use that to help someone less fortunate during the holidays. His thought was if we could get everyone to just give $5 we'd have thousands to give to a less fortunate family. And he was right. While we can't seem to get everyone to give (I know everyone has their own charities that they already support) we do get a lot of you to give and last year we hit 3k and saved a mother and her two kids from being put on the street while mom got her new job squared away... I'm rambling, but I need everyone to give, even if you can only spare $5... if twenty members give $5 that's $100 and that's an electric bill or a chunk of the rent or maybe all that's taken care off but theirs no money left for a big dinner and presents. It doesn't take a lot if we all give

Ultimate Bass members are amazing, every year the list of folks that help gets larger and larger. Last year we broke three thousand dollars and I hope for that again this year but we've got a ways to go. Those that haven't been able to give yet... I promise just 10 or 20 dollars goes a very long way to a family that can't keep the lights on!!! And for most of us, $20 doesn't even cover a night out at McDonald's... Please buy your raffle tickets let's break last years fundraising

He's been extra busy and add to that the grandkids living with them and kids and the holidays - well you get the idea. Honestly I don't know how he finds the time to do half of what he does.

Just a quick update:

Thank You CaptSteve, DocIrv, TNDiver, and an unknown because I can't find your screen name anywhere. 

Now that you saved all that money on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, please help us make sure a needy family has a fantastic holiday as well. Think about it, if you had nothing, what could you do with $20. We blow it without thinking, but if you were in a store and had nothing at home, what would you buy to take to your family to eat... Cheap lunchmeat and cheap cheese maybe? Might be able to get a loaf of bread. Don't forget this person had to walk to the store because they certainly don't have a car...

Come on folks give until it hurts sitting in that comfy chair with the heater or air conditioner on and lights throughout the house. With your wife driving a fancy car to Kroger and using the pick up line so she doesn't have to get out of the car Okay that might be over the top but you get what I'm saying, most of us have it really good when it comes to the basics that many families don't have.
