foot throttle
« on: December 01, 2018, 08:10:28 AM »

i want to hook up my foot throttle to a 1996 johnson 112 spl. I know  i still use the stock shift lever, so, what about the warm up/start throttle lever? is that no longer used? warm up will be controlled by the foot throttle?

Welcome aboard!!! It's good to have you here, pull up a chair and peruse the site, chime in with a question or an answer or an observation. Don't forget the new members contest, you could win a really nice prize.

Once you transfer your throttle linkage to the foot pedal all throttle control will be there.  The shift lever will only change gears and will not have any throttle capability although on some gear shifts the ignition switch if located there will still work.

Do you have the older OMC remote with a separate warm-up/fast idle lever behind the shift lever?
