After selling my trusty A rig set up I've got a new one thanks to the good folks at American Legacy.
I just got the Tranx 300 , The reel looks big but mounted on a Dobyns 795 SBR it feels about like a old Curado greenie .
Reel is super smooth and handles a big heavy bait well.
A really nice set up with a Dobyns and balances a little in front of the reel.

I haven't played with one, this is great to know. I'm wanting to set up a swimbait rod and was considering ordering one.

It would be a perfect swimbait reel Mike. I went with the 5.8 which still has a IPT of 30 inches.
The HG has a honkin 40 IPT.

Lot's ppl down here use them for big snook , I have no doubts it will hold up to bass fishing for as long as you care to own it.
