Bassmaster Classic Live
« on: March 15, 2019, 01:37:57 PM »

Who's watching?

Seems like the fishery is tough.  Alot of small fish.

Defoe has 2 keeper smallmouth (over 18 inches) and a 6 lbr and is sitting on top.

Weights will be low.

Defoe topped the day 1 with 20 lbs.  A great bag anchored with a 6lbr.  That will be hard to duplicate unless the females come shallow to spawn.  I'm hopeful.

Looks like Defoe had a bad day and Wheeler had a good day!

This is going to be an up and down tournament.

What I don't understand is -  it's cold muddy falling water.  All the anglers are fishing moving baits and mostly covering water fast.  I would be more inclined to put on a finesse jig and fish the wood slow.

Ike and Mark Daniels Jr moved up big time today.

And How refreshing that IKE hasn't acted as a fool, yet.  He's maturing ?

Hard to believe a jig is not a major player.

A-Mart blanks on his last day of the Classic and last time to walk across a BASS stage.  WTH?  Guess he swung and missed.

And WTH with the time penalties?  Andy Montgomery 7 mins (7lb) penalty.

Keeping time should be the easiest thing they do.  Andy blamed his satellite maybe on his GPS?  it was off by 10 minutes?  Kept him out of day 3.

Great picture -  send more.

Yeah I'm kind of on the fence about Swindle and KVD and others.  The way I see it,  they are the ones who made the decision to leave.  I knew they would miss the crowds and fans.  And the Classic.  Bass fishings biggest stage!  I bet it is emotional knowing this it the end of the road.

I think in the low 50s.

All you guys who chose Defoe  -  you guys are looking good for a chance for a Dobyns Rod.  Flatsnbay is looking good.

Im praying that Wheeler picks up a few 5 Lbr's before weigh in!

Defoe even called a 16 lb average to win.

I was hoping for more 20 lb bags.  The river was stingy.

Great win but predictable.

My prediction was on 17.5lbs per day. The bags could have been a little bigger if not for the 18in minimum. I watched Jacob Wheeler have to throw back a couple of fat 17.75s that would have helped his bag.

I figured on a 17 lb. average bag. I made the mistake of second guessing my pick of Defoe and went with someone else from that bucket.

Man I hate it when I do stuff like that. Second guess myself and screw up what I originally had right.
I was just wrong all together.  lo Oh well maybe next year.
