Caught a small limit early, culling them all in last 45 minutes. We finished 7th. In retrospect I wish we had stayed and been late for weigh in. Best catching of the winter and we left them biting. Pitching burner craws to cane.

Just one other boat in South Bay. It drove in from Clewiston like the lake was at 14' and came to a very sudden stop. Took hours of pushing and a airboat to get them free. Looked like a father and two boys. They took over on our fish. Hope they had an epic afternoon after a very tough start. No doubt it will be a memorable one.

Have a great summer

Haha! That's a good one!
It helps the grass grow, and the mosquitos  come spring too.

We are getting up to 5" today. Tomorrow through Wednesday another 2-4. Came home too early! On bright side it will hide all my yard work for another week or so. Too bad ice out is several weeks away in most.

17 foot, 140lb female python was removed from Big Cypress Friday. It contained 73 developing eggs.

Glad they got her out of there!

I read that yesterday. They are using GPS tagged males to hunt females. FWC has their work cut out for them, those pythons have decimated the wildlife in the Glades.

Weather is shaping up to be decent Saturday afternoon for fishing. Lou, im only bringing 4 rigs, so I hope its gonna work for something. SLX/Power685 for the frog. Fuego CT/Sierra684 for T Rigs. Calcutta200GTB/Champ704 for jig/spinner/swimbaits. TDZ/Sierra683 for topwater/light T rigs. That should cover enough for the crappy area we are going fishing, eh?

Went out on Beresford today...hooked into a good one...judging by his size when he jumped I'm gonna guestimate him at about 6lb.  I had him all the way up until he made a run straight across the front of the boat, while I was clumsily trying to get my net, and took my line right into the trolling motor.   ~xyz ^-^
