Santee Jacks Creek Marina & Campground Closing

Effective 4-30-19 the Jacks Creek Marina will be closed permanently.  The Launch ramp will close later this week.

Sure is an end to an era.

Bud what they do, sell out and new owners going to turn it into condo's?? Very valuable property and one of the  best locations.  Same thing here on Norman Midway Marina sold off been here since lake filled in 1964 was sold off and going private with Condo's.

A while back, there was a group that wanted to buy the Jacks Creek property and turn it into a resort of some sort.  Don't know the details but I do remember when it was being talked about.

It's the same group(The Beach Co) out of Charleston SC.They bought the lease from Stanley Scott back around 2006-2008.They have sub leased it out since then.It has been closed for awhile during that time also.They are a national real estate development co.To name a few developments:Mt Pleasant,Isle of palms & Kiawah Island In SC.
