K9 Pro 100
« on: April 25, 2019, 12:06:43 AM »

Back in Feb I went to a fishing expo and came across a K9 booth.  It was suggested that I use K9 Pro 100 for my bottom fishing.  Well I've already had to ripe the line off because I wanted to try a different brand on my Garcia BC because I just didn't like how the real was casting with the line.  The one thing I found was that in 2 mos it obtained a memory... I mean you could have used it for a Shirley Temple wig, the line was so curly.. slinky curly.    I'm going to try it again this time but on a new Lews Tourn MB.

Should this line retain this kind of memory so soon ?  Could I have been sold old line ?  In any case I'll give one more try..

I have not had any issues like this with K9 Fluoro. The 100 is a little more stout of a line but I've still not experienced extreme coiling. Maybe some light coiling in cold temps but it never lasted more than a cast or two.

Did the reel sit for two months?

Do you use KVD Line and Lure conditioner? This stuff works wonders on helping keep fluorocarbon lines manageable.

Yes I bought some the other week and have started using it when I remember.
My new Lews Tourn MB came in today and strung it up with K9 and took it out in the yard for a few casts, well actually a dozen and not one backlash or birds nest right out of the box...   I can't wait to give it a workout.

Absolutely! This stuff is now as essential to my fishing as hooks are. Won't fish without it.
