Saying goodbye after 20years
« on: August 04, 2019, 02:13:58 PM »

Happy and sad day today. Happy for 2 reasons. 1. A new chapter in my bass boating experience will begin for me in the next few days, and 2. One of our UB brethren is beginning a new chapter with his bass boating experience as well.

After owning her for 20 years, my tracker tin is no longer mine. :(

FloGrown is now the new proud owner. He has been looking forward to today for quite sometime. Enjoy your new boat FG!! Congrats !!

Four years ago,  I went through the same thing. You will always remember it with good memories.

In 1987,  My Dad bought a Venture bass boat.  When he upgraded in 2000,  I bought it from him.  It looked sort of like something from a war surplus sale,  but it was mine and I went to work on her.  After about two years of work,  it looked brand new,  in some ways better.  I fished out of it for 16 more years before deciding to upgrade.  The day that I sold it I remember being excited about it,  up until the point where he started across the parking lot towing "My" boat.  It is crazy how attached you can get to something like that.

You will enjoy the Vexus,  but there will be things on every fishing trip that reminds you of the old one.

Lou that is a weird feeling.   Those of us that have had boats and sold them for an upgrade has more than likely had that same feeling.  I know I did when I sold my mine and got my G3 ~shade

Congrats again on getting that new boat  ~c~

FG congrats to you also on your new ride  ~c~

:( .. yeah, I have had so many members from our UB family as guests on this boat over the years. So many great trips and funny stories. Hell... Rick caught his PB from this boat. The good news, although FG is one of our newest additions to UB and FL crew I'm sure many of you will get to fish off this boat again soon in the near future.

I was telling FG not to worry too much when we were doing the walk through, because probably whomever he invites will probably know the in's and out's of the boat better than him...  lo lo

Lou, you will forget all about it Thursday when you pick up the new Vexus.

FG, congratulations. You got a proven fishing machine but you're only allowed to fish frogs. :)
