always enjoy getting out.  'down on the river' means I'm fishing either NIckajack river section or upper ends of some of these TN river lakes (Chick, Guntersville, etc).

had to work yesterday morning so didn't get out until afternoon   2PM start.  little warm, humid.  no wind.  typical august.

fought for the ones I got.  no patterns, just grinding.  6 fish.  only two were 'of size'.
one 2-2.5 lb fish came on the GP tube from under a floating dock.  the other, about 3-4 pounds estimated, came off a frog from some weeds piled in a corner near a dock.  spro popping frog (black) at 3PM.

lots of pitching, flipping.  very few bites.

but, another great day to be outside!  another deep south sweat box moment/deep pore cleansing kind of day.

Thanks for the report and glad you caught a few fish. ~c~

Tks for sharing the trip with us and congrats on the catching also.  Some days are like that during this time period.
