Picture posting issue?
« on: December 15, 2019, 05:54:24 PM »

As many of you know, my pics have been posting side ways. In the event some of your pics are posting side ways as well, here's a tip. I have been in communication with TT support, and I found if I take my pics in landscape view the pics will be posted normal. However in portrait view the pics post on the desk top side ways. TT is currently working on this issue. Hope this info helps some of you.

I take mine in portrait and then crop to 16:9. They seem to come out fine.

Are you Android or iphone Barry? I have always cropped my pics before I post. But with this issue, the pics come out normal when viewed on TT but side ways when viewed on the desktop.

This happens to me a lot with my desktop. It has to do with the camera in your phone and how it handles what's called EXIF data.
I have a program that is supposed to let you fix it but even when I do that some of them still show up that way.

Oddly, I have only had this problem since I got a Samsung phone. None of my LG phones had the problem.

Wanted to provide you guys with an update, I have not given up with TT in fixing the bug they have with  picture posting. But, I have since figured out if you take your pics in landscape view, your pics will be viewed correctly on the desktop. Below is an example of what I mean by landscape and portrait views. Hope the info helps.  ;PEP)

That's the way I always take them.

However sometimes I need to go into my Pictures Folder and then Edit the Pic because it will show Wrong Side Up or in Portrait on my phone.

Once I Edit It to be the way I want it to be, it always posts the Correct Way.

For a Period of Time I couldn't Edit or TT wouldn't except the Pic. Now that I gave in and Paid for a Year Use I can post several pics at the same time and they all are in the correct way.

I mix and match my pic views depending on the shot I want to capture.

This TT bug however is misleading. You can take a pic in Portrait view, and edit your pic in the picture folder as you usually do, but the picture will post normal on TT and sideways on the UB on your desktop. This isn't the case using Landscape. The picture can still be edited and manipulated but post correctly on the forum.

Update, TT support has contacted me, they cannot duplicate the pic issue on their system but they experience the same issue on their personal phones. Head scratcher. I will keep you guys in the loop when I hear more.

I should have read here before my mini rant in my post. I ended up changing my aspect ratio to square in my gallery and then they posted correctly. I hope they get it fixed.
