Pascagoula River
« on: April 18, 2020, 07:13:27 PM »

Got out again today even though a Saturday is usually a no go for me but I figured the early morning rain kept a few folks at home and it did for a while at least. Ran down to the upper marsh to a bayou I use to fish all the time but not so much in the past few years and had a good morning. Fished it for about 4 hours and had 8 legal fish and a dozen shorts on a spinner bait and UV speed worm. Most were between the outer grass line and bank in 2-3' of water early and then tight to the grass later in the morning. Cloudy skies all day, air temp 75-80, water temps 69-71 and visibility 2+', tide was high and only rose .3' in 7 hours. All in all a fun day since I finally got some on my favorit spinner, Bruiser Snagless Sally for a change.
Retired and loving every minute of it!

Thanks for the report. Are most of the Bass you’re seeing around the marsh all post spawn?
