I've been a big fan of the Whopper Plopped 90 but there's one problem, it spins and twists your line up.
Tying a swivel or a small bearing on helps a lot.  ;)

Got mine tied on, looking forward to fishing the Choppo on a new area I'm trying tomorrow.  ~cf ~cf

Not even one sniff on the Choppo yesterday. My skunk streak continues with this style of  lure. Lol!!

I have had decent success with these baits for both largemouth and spots.  I think one other thing they imitate is a baby duck.  David Dudley has some mods that I have applied to improve hook ups.

Lou, have you tried paralleling the bank or weedline? It can provoke some monster hits!
