Daiwa Tatula XT TXT701MRB vs TXT701MRB-G
« on: June 13, 2020, 12:14:33 PM »

First post. I searched the web and found nothing. One is listed as shallow crank or jerk bait and the "G" is listed as crank. All specs on Daiwa's site are identical. Is this a marketing thing or is there an actual difference? I am enjoying my MF XT and thought I'd try a crank version. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

G is for glass. It's a little heavier. People like the glass for big square bills, chatter baits and spinner baits.

Gotcha. Thanks! I've been fishing for a long time, but am just now discovering all the different rod styles. Was familiar with light, medium, fast, etc but that was about it. I've always had luck with just a regular old MF casting rod or spinning rod. Now I'm rededicating myself to bass fishing and trying to learn more.

I found the Shallow crank/jerk XT for $50 and figured why not. Guess we'll see how it does!
