How is the  Piscifun serpent pss741hc heavy fast, 14-50,1/2-1oz pitching rod? Anyone have this rod or hear anything about? Looking to get it for the above techniques. Debating if I should spend the extra $30 and get a dobyns for 735c... what do y'all think??

I can't speak of the Piscifun rod, but I can talk about the CH 735. The 735 is great rod for the applications listed above.

A second for the 735C, I have the Fury series.

I would be getting the fury 735c. Dobyns do make great rods. I have the sr 734 and fr 705

Thinking hard about the dobyns. Can you guys weigh in on a drop shot rod? I have  7'4 KVD TOUR that I love but the tip scares me. I expect it to snap with every fish. When  catfish grabs it I can about guarantee it's toast.

I'm leaning toward a 2nd Abu Veritas.

Weigh in folks!

I'm sure there will be several good recommendations for a drop shot rod, but let's please not highjack the OP's thread.
