Legend's Tackle Butt Seat
« on: May 25, 2006, 09:46:07 AM »

Legend has patented their "tackle butt" seat.  The seat comes with 4 plastic boxes and a strap to hold them in.  You can stack the boxes (would not suggest doing this with all 4 boxes) or stand them on their sides.  I was concerned at first about how comfortable it would be leaning against the seat, but after using it...it works great.  I find NO problems leaning against it, just as you would any butt seat.  I keep my spinnerbait trailers in one of the boxes, worm hooks and weights in one, carolina rig stuff in another, and small stuff in the last one.  It is incredibly handy when you need those items.

They really are great in the boat. Not only can you lean against them but it is pretty handy not to have to get down in the boat every time you have to re-tie your line or change weights. Awesome idea!

I sure am glad you posted pics of that Mike N.

I looked on Legend's web site and was surprised not to find pictures of it when you got your boat orignally.  I think it is a great idea.

Is it just a stretchy strap to hold them in?

It is a nylon strap that holds them in ;)

where and how much.... I need a red-white-blue one.  Do they sell them to the General Public?

And can I spread the word if they do?  I know a bunch of people that would be interested.

J10B, I'm not sure if they are for sell to the general public or just available with the Legend boats.  I'll have to check on that.

So Legend got back intouch and they are available for 64.99.  Now I need to figure out what colors I want.

Good deal J10B.  I had emailed but didn't get a price yet.  Sounds like you are on your way.

Hey Mike I have one of these. They are pretty cool! Dean let me try one when they first came out I liked it. It really is more comfortable than it looks. It also does save some time.
