Was able to finally get my own rod. Wasnt exactly what most would pick but it was at least affordable. Love the looks of it and its 6'6" med/fast action so it's where I need it to be. Paired up with this concept A its awesome. So grateful.

Have to start somewhere!  It isn't the gear that makes the fisherman, I have seen plenty of guys that use Ugly Sticks and a little Jon Boat and kick the snot out of guys with all the latest and greatest!!! That combo looks really good!  Enjoy it and congrats on the new setup!

Shoot, I absolutely LOVE this rod and reel combo. I couldnt ask for better. Smooth and I love the cork on the rod and the reel. I  put some boiled linseed oil on the cork. Protects it and keeps it soft so you have a nice comfortable grip. Not sure if you guys have ever used that on cork but it's amazing to be honest. I went fishing yesterday and cast clean across the pond with little to no effort. Thank you to you all. I'm definitely humbled and proud.
