I have a Fury 735 that will be used as a frog rod and will recieve a Champion XP 735 soon to be used as my jig rod. Any suggestions for pairing up my reels for those rods?

This what I have now and am willing to switch around to whatever you guys with experience suggest.  I just got into baitcasters in the last year, so my knowledge is limited to say the least.

I have a Shimano SLX DC Left hand 8 to1 (on a SA 703)
Shimano SLX DC Right hand 7 to 1 (on the Fury 735)
Shimano SLX XT Right Hand 7 to 1 (Shimano Intenza 7'2 MH Fast)
Shimano SLX Right Hand 7 to 1 (Brand new)
Thanks

I think your 7.1 reels are fast enough to handle the frog and anything else really. Since you have the 8.1 and the new rod is for jigs I'd pair those up as catching up to a bass swimming with your jig can be tough!

I have a SLX great little reels. You will not have a problem with the 7 speed for froggin. The 8 speed you can use for flipping. You will get more flips in and cover more water by the end of the day with the 8 speed.
