Miles you getting a Legend now? I actually have been going back and forth with a gentleman who has a 2005 with a 250 EFI about buying it off him.

Mike that's one of the only things that has me shying away from that Legend. He has a 250 EFI and has said he has tried different props, playing with the jack plate and other things and can't get the boat to run over 70.  I would think the boat should have been running in the high 70's so I'm, wondering if there is some problem with the boat or motor.

That boat should be in the mid 70's easy!!.....Either he doesn't know how to set it up or there's something wrong with it...

Gotta agree that boat should be running mid 70's tournament load and upper 70's light load. Hmmm, something don't jive. You might talk numbers with him maybe he just doesn't know how to set it up or drive it one or the other ;) Some folks just don't get the concept of proping a boat or even trimming one for that matter?

The legend is so easy to drive he may not have enough seat time to really get her wound out

Mike  I have talked with him.  He has a freind that has the identical boat and set up the same way and his freind is getting upper 70's.  He told me straight out he has no idea why he can't get the numbers his freind does.  He has had the motor checked out a few times and they say motor is checking out fine.  Price is awesome on the boat but I know I know if that's the best speed I won't be happy at all.

Oh you'll love the boat but I am afraid that you will spend quite a bit trying to keep up with the jones's. Has this individual talked with the Factory? If you want, get all the numbers you can and I will get with Dean and see if he has any ideas :-*

Mike if you could check with the Dean and get some suggestions that would be great.  I have asked for numbers but all I got was he is running the 250 EFi set back on a 10" jackplate and looks like he is running a Tempest Prop but not sure what size.  Boat looks good white and black, dual console with a full deck extension. Very god possibilty its either going to be this boat or a 2006 20X depending on what the dealer that has the 20X works for a deal.  By chance do you know any members of the site in or around Clinton, Arkansas that might be able to look at the boat?

We have had several members sign up from Arkansas not sure how close they are to clinton, man that city sounds familar I know I have been threw it before, isn't it just north of Little Rock? That's not far from the plant at all? Wonder if he had taken it back to them to check out?

Tritonrob, has the owner talked RMP's or WOT at all?

No he hadn't I sent him an e-mail asking and he didn't say.  I did just find soemthing that might make me shy away from the boat ans something I don't understand my Legend did it is the gas capacity without an auxery tank added.  36 gallons just isn't enough for me.  Especially running on Champlain and Erie.  I need 50 gallons plus in the boat on the runs.

Yep, Legend tried to accommodate both here. Folks that need a lot of gas are willing to give up a little storage for it and those that don't need it love the extra storage. So it is an option with the aux tank going under the seats.

Looks like that might be two strikes against this particular boat, maybe you should look into building one yourself :-* and get it set up the way you want ~c~ You might be surprised at the price and if you can find the time to pick her up yourself you can save a bit more ;)

Can't hurt to get a price quote ;) If you want to see just for chit's and giggles let me know and I will have Daryl contact you in the next day or two :-* Legend will treat you like family and not hound you over it but would love the chance to talk to you, shoot me a good number to have them call you in a PM if you are interested.

Man did that sound like a salesman  ~sweat

Mike already got some prices on new ones.  All the new boats are more than I will be able to spend with what I have to put down and trading my boat in.  Seems like all the brands are around the same price for what I want that's why I was looking used and saw that one.  I'll shoot you a PM with my number and be glad to talk to someone and see what the price is from them.
