Elephant Butte Bass Fishing Reports 8/8/06

Fishing was slow-to-fair using top water lures, senkos tubes and spinner baits for black bass. Most of the black bass were taken in less than 15 feet of water.

I fished the Butte twice this week. The bass were good in about 10 foot of water around points and submerged brush.

Caught several real nice small mouth on a DT-6 on the submerged brush right at the ramp at Marina Del Sur.

The wind was bad however in the afternoon. The water level is up.
