A favorite of mine would be Guist Creek Lake.

The marina is:

Guist Creek Marina & Campground
11990 Boat Dock Rd.
Shelbyville, KY 40065
502-647-5359

Nice Marina, with a tackle shop inside. Only one on this lake.

KY Lake / TN River... Simple justification --- it's an awesome fishery! [/color]   ~cf

I haven't gotten a chance to get to a lot of the big lakes (none of the really big ones actually) but I've had good luck and love the scenery around Bullock Pen Lake in Grant County by Crittendon and Kincaid Lake down by Falmouth (Pendleton County). I do a LOT of my fishing in Ohio River backwaters, mostly Big Bone Creek which I truly love because I can get great catfish too. All I have is a little jon boat with a trolling motor so I might get swamped if I go to Cumberland or KY/Barkley but I'd really luv to try 'em someday.

Mine is Barkley.  I miss that lake since I left that area.  I now live in Northern KY and just dont get to go to Barkley as offen as I use to.  Kentucky Lake is 2nd, Barren is third, Rough is forth and Dale Hollow is fifth.

For me, I'd have to say the order goes like this.

I have fished that lake for years!! Only place I have had luck at was the tail end past the bridge on shady cliff end...

redrivergar

1. Barren
2. Barkley
3. Malone, because I live close to it.
4. Red River near Adairville.

Malone is an awesome lake. It's just too small for all the weekend traffic. Try it on a Wednesday morning in April or May.

A bad day of fishing is a better day at work.
