Not even a mention of Lake Conroe.
Mine would be 1. Conroe 2. Houston County Lake(Only lakes i've fished out here).
I'm going to Fork soon though.

i absolutely love stillhouse hollow for the quality size of the bass, as for sheer numbers i enjoy going to lbj. not too many people talk about stillhouse, but a couple months ago during a 3 hour tourney i had 5 fish 30.25 lbs and still came in 3rd.

Choke Canyon, but watch out for the  SC Gator!

Interesting thread-I can read the lakes and figure pretty much where everyone is located.

Amistad and Choke Canyon for sure. My personal is from Choke. Lots of wildlife at Choke besides the gators.

Favorite Lake in Texas...I'm gonna have to go with some East Texas Lakes.  Number 1 would be Lake Tyler, its just over 5,000 acres and can yield some pigs!  30+lb sacks are not a big suprise any time of year.  Number 2 would have to be Lake Athens, at just under 1,800 acres it is an incredible numbers and size lake.  Know for some incredible topwater this on of my all time favorite lakes...oh, and don't bring big line, 10 ft visibility makes this a finesse haven!  Lake Fork is OK if you like catching 4-8 lb fish all day.  This is one of the most incredible fishery's in the state and is a popular lake and from pre to post spawn don't expect to be alone or even to be fishing an area with out at least 20 other avid anglers.  I fish 200+ days a year all over the state any questions on any lakes just ask.  ~Ronnie

I'm headed to Lake Fork In Mid March for two weeks and cant hardly wait.  This is a tradition for me and my fishing buddies.  My best so far is a 11.11 monster that was in the slot at 23.75 inch long.  I got a replica from Lake Fork Taxidermy that looks better than the two others I have on the wall from Caddo.  I got a kick out of releasing her anyway.

I love Alan Henry, it is one of the best lakes I have ever fished. It has some huge bass in it.

Anybody ever hit that lake?

Well, I live on Lake Livingston, do a lot of fishing on the Cypress bayou, fished Lake Madison, Houston County Lake, Sam Rayburn, Lake o the Pines, Wright Patman and others. As we have so many watersheds in TX that are producing good size fish, it is really hard for me to single out just one that I would consider the best in my book. I love em all.

Since I love to dock fish, I'd have to say Cedar Creek and Palestine.  They are the two best boat dock lakes I've been on.

Its got to be Fayette County. Cold weather or Hot those bass are always hungry. Schoolies 3 to 5 pounds in late August through September.  Love those power plant lakes.

My name says it all. Choke Canyon reservoir in Three Rivers TX. This lake is about the same size as Fork 26500 acres. This lake doesn't get near the fishing pressure as many other lakes in Texas. There are reports of numerous 10 pounders boated annually with my personal best being 8 lb 5 ounces. Not too shabby huh. Another big plus is this lake is in the middle of nowhere and all surrounding land is private with no docks, houses anything.

I'm amazed that no one has chose Falcon. I'm planning a trip there after the first of the year. Was kind of hoping to get some help figuring it out.

I love Falcon Resevoir Beagle and to tell you the truth there are some major pigs there. The reason nobody mentioned Falcon is the location. I live in San Antonio so I am probobly closer than most of yall and it is still a three  hour drive for me. As a matter of fact Falcon is the best lake in the country right now. I've been there probobly ten times and I had success with large texas rigged worms and carolina rigged senkos.
