I've fished Tims Ford a few times over the years. I need to get back up that way one day this year. I've never been on Woods Reservoir before tho. What kind of lake is Woods? Any good structure on it?

Woods is a very small but good to great lake. Good structure and cover in form of vegetation. I read wbere fish biologists are shocking up some big smallies. Good smallmouth fishing around dam.

We have been wearing them out at woods on crawdad colored bandits 300 series. It's probably my favorite lake around here. I fish Tims every once in a while. It's hard to beat in the summer at night.

This is the first time I've logged in here for some time and the first time I think I've ever seen Tims Ford or Woods reservoir on top of the list....  Laugh

Woods was pretty hot last week and probably again this week. The water was muddied up and a little warmer. I haven't been, but my uncle and some other folks I know have been wearing them out with 30+ fish a day.

I'm glad to see a fellow Tennessean on here not to mention only a county over from me.

Hey,
Just got back from an outstanding week of fishing (little catching). Must admit weather was a big factor but, then again, we can not plan for that. Had an outstanding guide (Rick McFerrin) and he worked his "hinnie" off trying to find fish. To my surprise the fish were wanting spinnerbaits and the water temp was only 56. As the week went on it rose to 59. Backs of creeks were the trick. My last day I was catching them on "YUMS"!!!
It was awesome seeing all the competitors from the UMF!!! Yes, want to go back fot my third year!!! Luck to all!!! Love this fishery!!!
