not so Nebraska report 4/22

The wife wanted to go out on the boat so what better place to cruise around then Lake Manawa.

Fished the campground area with no sucess on both jerkbaits and a bullet weighted t-rigged worm.
 
Figured i'd so see what was going on in the canals and the crappie were getting crushed by just about everyone in there. The dock area was loaded with them and they were taking jigs with tubes and tails. I caught about 10 but none of them had much size, mostly under 8 inches.

Beat my donut score that I had on Wherspann on sunday. Crappie didn't want anything I could throw.

I did find fish (most likely bass) staged in 15+ ft of water. They laughed at c-rigs and dismissed by DD22.

Where there is a will there is a way...

15' of water on Manawa?  Where did you find that?  I never found a hole half as deep as that and I fished the whole thing...way more than I wanted to.

Haha yea, you'd have to lay down to drown in Manawa....the fish in 15ft was in reference to the wherspann trip that I had fished that sunday (for crappie) and caught nothing, should have split it up better sorry.
